Have any extra buttons and pearls on hand?

Hello! I hope everyone is well. Today I'm going to share a Thanksgiving holiday project idea that can be made simply (and mess free) with Glue Dots®.  My family makes a gratitude box every year at Thanksgivingtime. We reflect on what we have been thankful for throughout the year, write it down and put our notes or lists in that year's box for safe keeping. Children too young to write can draw pictures. This is a fun family activity and great way to document things that are important to each family member and to your family as a whole. It is also nice as a parent to look through previous year's boxes and see how much your family changes and grows.
To create project:
1) cover top of box with buttons and pearls. Start by randomly laying buttons down, then adhere each with glue dots. Fill holes with various sized pearls
2) wrap body of box with patterned paper and tie ribbon on lid. Secure ribbon with glue dots
3) stamp and make tag. Tie tag on with twine
4) embellish with flower and stick pins

If you scrapbook, think about how easy it would be to convert what is in your gratitude box to a layout with photos. In my not so busy life, I hope to make an album of Thankskgivings, with all of the info that is in our gratitude boxes mixed with photos from each year.

I love the idea of a Gratitude box. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in The netherlands but I am going to use this for the countdown for Christmas.
Your box is gorgeous!
