Zva Creative Mar DT Blog Hop!

Zva Creative and the Design Team welcomes you to join us this month for a blog hop that we feel is always extra special!

There is now an added twist to our blog hops, YAY!  As you know, Zva offers so many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals.  We want to make sure that they shine bright for you, so each designer was asked to share a creation using a specific color or color combination on their blog hop project.

The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes' blog. She will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating in case there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, just follow along the blog path.  I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way. Hidden on FIVE of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package ...YAY! Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts today, March 28th and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, March 29th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, March 30th on each of the five winning blogs. The full list will be found on Kim Hughes‘s blog. We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday...plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post...you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

Here is my project, I had the color white to work with this month, so I thought I'd get a jump on some wedding cards that are on my list for some summer weddings. On this card I used the Enchanting Pearl Flourish (CR-04CA-108), a leaf (FL-04CA-110) and the White Frosty Flower from the White & Pink Dual Flower pack (FL-04CA-124). I layered them over a white cardstock rectangle that is matted on Anna Griffin's Carmen collection's Gold Quatrefoil Paper.  All of those elements are a perfect fit for your standard A2 sized card. The sentiment is from the Favor It Wedding Stamp Set by Papertrey Ink.

The blog hop begins here: Kim Hughes

Your next stop is here: Tomoko Takahashi

Thank you SO MUCH for joining us today!

Precocious Paper March Project

How is your weekend going? Ours is flying by... today my oldest daughter Campbell turned six... oh my! It brings tears to my heart to think about that... SIX! I'm the mom of a 6 year old. Major mental adjustments here just thinking about having older children, but wow... how proud she makes us! I love more than anything to watch her sound out every word she sees, choose to be helpful and make mature choices that are independent, surprising and delightful. It brings a whole new meaning to being proud.

On to some crafty stuff. This is my last project designed for Precocious Paper's design team... it has been a delight to work with Tessa and the team, but it is time for a new team to take over. If you are interested in the design team you can find the call HERE (it runs through March 18th).
My cards use two items coming to the shop soon: Light Gold and Coral Satin Blossoms. The patterned paper is part of the new Funhouse collection by GCD Studios. Even though these cards are quick & simple, they are stunners because of the flowers.

We'll I hope you have a nice Sunday! Thanks so much for stopping by today:)

Coexistence

"Coexistence... what the farmer (or residents of Weber Oaks) does with the turkey - until Thanksgiving." - Mike Connolly

Here's a few photos of our neighborhood's newest residents. We had no idea that turkeys were so friendly. The first time we saw them, the girls and I went outside to grab a few looks and photos. As soon as the turkeys saw us they decided to run across the street for a visit...
...there was no fear there, they came right up to us...
...needless to say, we didn't hang around outside very long.
I think they would have come right into the house if we let them. One even came up to the window gobbling (I could almost hear it say to the girls, "want to come outside & play?"), and staring back at us as we stared at it...

These poor turkeys must have escaped from a turkey farm in the area where they were loved and showered with attention. Its not yet annoying but actually kind of funny to see them scurry from house to house gobbling all of the way looking for human companionship. You just never know when you are going to step outside and be greeted by a flock of turkey friends.

Lets hope they find a new home before spring sets in...

The Reject Blog Hop

Hello, I'm quickly stopping in before heading to bed to share one of my cards that didn't get picked up for Paper Craft's Go-to Sketches 2 call this past week. There is a blog hop going on HERE where folks are sharing links to cards that didn't get picked up. So fun!
I love hopping along and seeing all of the cards that were made from sketches that I didn't attempt... but thought about doing so. Love that!

Anyway, even though this card wasn't picked up, I happen to love it because it uses two of my favorite new collections... Echo Park's For the Record & Anna Griffin's Carmen. Both just gorgeous... in my mind & I'm happy how this card came together because I was able to combine two very different collections in a simple and beautiful way.

Well, its 2am here & I must get to bed! Thanks for hopping by & have a great Tuesday!
