GCD May Technique: White Space

Hi everyone, its Windy here with my technique post that I created for GCD Studios. We were asked to create a project using white space. Now “white space” doesn’t always have to be white, but I thought that this stark white cardstock was a nice compliment to GCD Studio’s Fun House collection. To make my card, I simply combined cardstock with Fun House collection’s border strips.

I often use border strips with white space to make a quick clean card on the fly… you know that last minute thank you card to accompany a hostess gift for the party that you are headed to. A quick recipe is to leave about 2/3rds of your card “white” or empty/void of any pattern or embellishments and the last 1/3 filled with the focus of your card… often the sentiment and any embellishment that may lead your eye to the sentiment.
